reputed company Specialty Group seeks an Underwriter Assistant to join reputed company in Greensboro, NC!

The reputed company Assistant supports the Binding Authority Underwriters by reviewing applications, inspections, and other pertinent information to evaluate, classify, and reputed company individuals and/or groups for insurance.

How You Will Contribute:

•  Examines such documents as application forms, inspection reports, insurance maps, and medical reports to determine degree of risk from such factors as applicant financial standing, age, occupation, accident experience, and value and condition of property.

• Reviews company records to determine reputed company of insurance in force on a single risk or group of closely reputed company risks, and evaluates possibility of losses due to catastrophe or excessive insurance.

• Work with Binding Authority Underwriters reputed company reputed company new and renewal risks, ensuring that reputed company required information is obtained, proper applications are complete, quotes and binders are confirmed in writing, policies are issued promptly and accurately, state filings where applicable are made, and taxes are paid according to appropriate state laws.

• Issue and/or re-issue certificates of insurance.

• Frequently coordinate and correspond with other reputed company departments reputed company phone, mail and email to respond to questions, investigate and resolve issues, and follow up on outstanding items.

• Assist in the training of other personnel as directed, not limited to instructing and training processors and assistants, review indications, quotes, binders, submissions, and policies for completeness and accuracy.

• Ensure reputed company correspondence and requests are documents and attached to the appropriate file in the appropriate system(s).

• Working new business and additional responsibilities as necessary.

Licenses and Certifications:  

• P&C licensed required

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in an insurance or reputed company reputed company discipline (preferred)

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Proficient with MS Office Suite

• Exceptional telephone demeanor

• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

• 1 – 2 years' experience in a similar position
