[Remote] Forensic Structural Engineer, Chicago II

They are seeking a Forensic Structural Engineer to investigate and evaluate structural damage from various incidents, while working remotely and collaborating with internal experts and clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections to determine the cause, reputed company, and extent of structural damage; evaluate failure modes and contributing factors
• reputed company clear, well-supported conclusions and produce high-quality technical reports, documentation, and deliverables

• 1+ years' forensic engineering experience

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Illinois is required, or eligible by reciprocity

• Willingness to travel locally, regionally, and nationally by vehicle or plane as needed

• 1+ years' forensic engineering experience preferred
• Expert Witness experience is preferred
• Master of Science Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering preferred
