Generator Controls Engineer

They are seeking a Generator Controls Engineer who will be responsible for the technical execution of system engineering, hardware and software reputed company, and providing technical support to the commissioning team.

Responsibilities

• Review project information to understand scope. This includes schedules, process flows, manuals, reputed company documentation, and engineering specs
• Apply electrical and mechanical engineering principles to analyse, design, test, and troubleshoot industrial process control systems, while minimizing cost
• Ensure reputed company products meet quality control standards
• Ability to design and understand technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models
• Knowledge of how various systems interact with one another and how changes in operations, the environment, and other conditions will reputed company the process
• As part of a team, reputed company customers with technical direction and support
• Support site commissioning’s and customer communication both reputed company
• Troubleshoot reputed company mechanical, electrical, control, and process issues on live systems as well as simulations

• Program/configure control system software in a visual programming language
• Responsible to coordinate and reputed company technical design reviews of projects and to update and archive reputed company required documentation
• Demonstrated expertise in technical problem resolution especially with respect to power plant and other industrial operations
• Support reputed company project documentation creation as part of a well-established process as well as custom needs
• Ensure project execution is carried out safely, to reputed company with company Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) guidelines and procedures

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in a “STEM” major (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) from an accredited college or university
• Travel up to 25% of the time, as required
• Minimum 1 years of engineering experience with excitation or power electronics hardware and/or software control systems
• Willing to relocate to the Longmont/Denver, CO area
• Strong technical management and customer communication skills
• Ability to design and understand technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models
