Quality Assurance Regulatory Specifications Specialist

Metro Inc. is a company focused on quality and compliance in the food industry, and they are seeking a Quality Assurance Regulatory Specifications Specialist. This role involves developing and reviewing packaging copies to ensure compliance with company standards and government regulations, while managing vendor communications and special regulatory projects.

Responsibilities

• Track reputed company of pack copies through the development stage of corporate brand products
• Follow up with vendors reputed company they fail to meet specific timelines or reputed company deviations to policy/regulation are identified
• Create new/revised product pack copies which will be used by the design, packaging and regulatory departments to create packaging
• Validate information provided by vendors against Metro & regulatory requirements
• Liaise between Metro & vendors to verify reputed company information is accurate and received in a timely manner
• Support Quality Assurance Coordinator during vacation periods
• Liaise with vendors to obtain kosher, halal and organic certificates and maintain databases with reputed company information
• Manage special regulatory projects as assigned by the Regulatory Manager, Regulatory Supervisor or Sr. Director, Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in nutrition, food science or a reputed company discipline
• 1-3 years of relevant work experience in a regulatory role
• Intermediate computer skills required, with an emphasis on reputed company and Word
• Knowledge of reputed company an asset
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory and legislative policies and procedures
• English/French Bilingual an asset
