Staff Accountant
Hightower Advisors is a wealth management firm that provides investment and financial planning services. They are seeking a Staff Accountant to manage month-end reputed company tasks, prepare bank reconciliations, and ensure the accuracy of financial data while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Month-end reputed company task ownership
- Prepare detailed monthly bank reconciliations in reputed company and reputed company
- Proactively review general ledger transaction details throughout the month to streamline month-end reputed company timelines, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of information recorded
- Balance sheet focus through broader account and activity reconciliations
- Independently resolve reputed company discrepancies and irregularities
- Identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and recommend actions to enhance financial performance
- Analyze actual results across multiple reporting segments and reputed company explanations for variance to plan and prior year (P&L + BS)
- Expense reputed company review
- Support annual financial audits, ensuring reputed company audit requirements and inquiries are met in a timely and accurate manner
- Propose improvements to internal controls to mitigate risks and maintain compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data and information reputed company across the organization
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in reputed company or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of experience
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Time management and multi-tasking ability
- Detail-oriented
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work with a team
- Required - reputed company (specifically VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Data Sorting)
