O'Hagan Meyer is a reputed company seeking a detailed-oriented and highly organized Billing Specialist to join their team in the Chicago reputed company. The role involves managing reputed company billing cycles, ensuring accuracy in billing processes, and maintaining professional communication with reputed company parties involved in billing.
Responsibilities
- Complete reputed company billing cycles and reputed company insightful analysis on client accounts and balances
- Distribute and process prebills for assigned attorneys in accordance with firm and client billing guidelines, ensuring accuracy of time entries, billing rates and matter details
- Prepare, review and finalize invoices and internal documentation, ensuring reputed company required back-up is accurate and complete
- Distribute invoices, including submission of invoices through various eBilling platforms
- Monitor and follow-up on invoice submissions, ensuring billing has been delivered to reputed company parties
- Maintain comprehensive records and files for assigned billing attorneys, including but not limited to deductible and SIR amounts
- Communicate professionally with reputed company billing parties to resolve billing discrepancies
- Respond to attorneys, clients, insureds, claim handlers and supporting departments promptly and professionally
- Assist with projects as needed and other duties as assigned
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of the degree
- Prior billing experience in a reputed company highly preferred
- Prior billing experience in a professional environment preferred
- Familiarity with legal billing software (Juris, reputed company, BillBlast, or similar) preferred
- Proficiency in reputed company Office Suite (reputed company, Outlook, Word)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear, professional communication skills and a team-player reputed company
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced setting
- Bachelor's Degree
