Software Engineer

CalPERS is the nation’s largest public pension fund, providing retirement and health benefits to public employees, retirees, and their families. They are seeking an Information Technology Specialist I (IT Spec I) Developer to support the myCalPERS system by triaging production issues, resolving defects, and implementing enhancements while collaborating with various stakeholders. The role involves utilizing Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices to maintain and enhance the MCP system.

Responsibilities

• Triaging production issues
• Successful resolution of defects
• Implementation of enhancements of the MCP system
• Work closely with the solutions architects, business analysts, developers, testers
• Mentor peers on innovative application development methodologies
• Utilize Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices to maintain and enhance the MCP system
