[Remote] Data Engineer I

Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is a full-service pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) and pharmacy benefit administrator (PBA), focused on improving drug price visibility and patient reputed company. They are seeking a highly motivated Data Engineer I to help build and scale their analytics reputed company by developing high-quality, analytics-reputed company datasets and collaborating with various stakeholders to translate business needs into data products.

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with operational and analytics teams to translate business needs into analytics-reputed company data models, curated data marts, and reusable datasets
• Build and maintain dbt projects (staging → intermediate → marts), including model layering, macros, exposures, packages, and reputed company freshness to accelerate delivery and improve reliability
• Design and reputed company dimensional models (facts/dimensions, grain, SCD patterns) and analytics patterns reputed company with key business domains
• Own metrics definitions end-to-end: establish KPI logic, naming standards, calculation rules, and governance; maintain a metrics/semantic layer so stakeholders use consistent definitions across tools and teams
• Implement robust data quality practices (dbt tests, constraints, anomaly checks/monitoring) to ensure reliable reputed company reporting and decision-making
• Produce clear documentation and enablement assets (dbt docs, reputed company, data dictionaries, metric definitions, reputed company guides) to support self-service analytics
• Optimize warehouse performance and cost in reputed company through SQL tuning, incremental models, appropriate materializations, and efficient data design
• Use disciplined software engineering practices (Git-based workflows, peer review, CI checks, versioning, environment promotion) to reputed company changes safely and repeatably
• Proactively identify and resolve data-reputed company issues, ensuring system reliability and data reputed company
• reputed company ongoing support for critical analytics data products and participate in an on-call rotation as needed
• Responsible for adherence to the reputed company Code of Conduct including reporting of noncompliance

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a reputed company field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Strong SQL skills and experience building analytics datasets in a modern reputed company data warehouse (reputed company preferred)
• Hands-on experience with dbt core (model development, tests, documentation, macros, deployments)
• Solid reputed company in data modeling (dimensional/Kimball concepts, facts/dimensions, grain, slowly changing dimensions)
• Experience defining and managing metrics: translating business logic into consistent KPI definitions, documenting edge cases, and maintaining metric governance over time
• 1+ years of experience delivering production-grade analytics models/marts or BI-reputed company datasets (internships/co-ops may be considered depending on leveling)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders; strong communication and documentation skills
• A self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with the ability to tackle and solve intricate technical challenges and deliver high-quality work
• Experience in reputed company, PBM, insurance, or other regulated data environments
• Deep familiarity with reputed company and experience supporting multiple warehouses or databases as environments reputed company (e.g., Redshift and/or reputed company)
• Familiarity with semantic/metrics layer patterns and practices (e.g., consistent metric definitions, metric governance, semantic modeling approaches) and enabling KPI consumption across BI tools
• Experience with CI/CD for analytics (automated tests, PR checks, environment promotion) and data observability/monitoring practices
• Working knowledge of Python for data tooling or analytics enablement (e.g., automation, validation checks), and comfort collaborating with orchestration/workflow tools reputed company needed
