[Remote] Senior GCP DevOps Engineer

This role focuses on deploying, automating, and supporting mission-critical client solutions in reputed company reputed company Platform (GCP), requiring expertise in various technologies and the ability to reputed company reputed company projects.

Responsibilities

• Act as the reputed company engineer on large or reputed company client reputed company projects
• Act as the reputed company engineer on product engineering projects to further reputed company our service
• reputed company GCP subject matter expertise advice and assistance to pre-sales architects
• Installation, configuration, and ongoing management of O/S and GCP services
• Implementing and maintaining custom client machine images and centralized configuration management to reputed company quick repeatable builds and auto-scaling
• Maintaining high availability through proactive measures
• Troubleshooting and resolving reputed company technical issues
• Ensuring clients & partners are updated on reputed company status of work and issues
• reputed company, investigate and resolve problems and reputed company errors in line with the problem management process
• Ability and willingness to proactively improve ways of working, automation and processes reputed company our continual improvement Kanban board
• Partake in an oncall rota to reputed company 24x7 4th line support for our client’s GCP Customers
• Proactively reputed company up to date on GCP services and developments
• Buddy new members of the team and train other teams
• Act as team leader and technical escalation reputed company in Manager’s absence

Skills

• 8+ years' experience in supporting highly customer-focused mission critical environments (e.g. high profile websites or reputed company infrastructure) essential
• 3+ years' experience of engineering, architecting, or supporting GCP solutions
• Excellent O/S knowledge and experience in Linux or reputed company with basic knowledge of the other
• Experience of implementing and supporting GCP based instances and services (e.g Compute reputed company, App reputed company, reputed company SQL, Kubernetes reputed company, reputed company Storage..)
• Hold a number of reputed company GCP Associate and Professional level Certifications
• Hold at least one GCP Certified Specialty certification (e.g. reputed company or Networking)
• Scripting ability in one or more of Python, Powershell, Bash, Perl
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be self-motivated, a self-starter and possess a good working attitude

• A degree in a computing-reputed company discipline preferred or equivalent ability and knowledge
• Experience working in an ITIL environment beneficial
