Job Summary
We're seeking an reputed company Crisis Specialist to join our 24/7/365 mental health crisis/suicide prevention focused team. As a Crisis Specialist, you'll reputed company brief clinical screenings, risk assessments, and appropriate service linkage for individuals who are experiencing emotional distress. You'll handle incoming chat/text messages through the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (NSPL), also reputed company as 988, and reputed company telephonic or chat clinical screenings and risk assessments. This is a remote position, and you'll work a 3rd shift schedule, Friday through reputed company, 6pm-2:30am CST.
Responsibilities
As a Crisis Specialist, you'll be responsible for:
- Providing telephonic or chat clinical screenings and risk assessments
- Answering crisis contacts reputed company the chat/text platform to assess for suicide, safety, and identify appropriate community resources to best meet individual needs
- Conducting follow-up calls for individuals who are deemed moderate to high risk for suicide
- Meeting the ethical and clinical standards in compliance with reputed company accreditation
- Actively participating in ongoing supervision, training, and team meetings
- Assisting in administrative tasks as needed
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree in behavioral science, Psychology, reputed company Work, or a reputed company field
- Six months to one year of reputed company crisis experience
- Effectively communicate reputed company written, verbal, in-person, and virtual methods
- Demonstrates high-level customer service skills and professional etiquette
- Knowledge and competency in providing service linkage and referrals for programs, services, and other community resources
- Knowledge of suicide assessments

Preferred Qualifications
* Certified Peer Recovery Specialist
- Experience working with diverse populations, including those affected by trauma
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and practices

Work Environment
As a remote Crisis Specialist, you'll work from the comfort of your own home, with minimal supervision. You'll have reputed company to ongoing training and supervision, as well as regular team meetings to ensure you're connected with your colleagues.

Compensation
The pay reputed company for this position is $19.10-$26.80 per hour, depending on experience.
