Conflicts Administrator (1-Year Contract)

The Conflicts Administrator role supports lawyers and management by overseeing the conflicts checking process, ensuring compliance with internal policies and managing potential risks and conflicts of interest.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting conflict of interest searches using firm systems (reputed company Conflicts) and internal/external databases
  • Constructing search parameters across multiple databases to identify potential conflicts or risk issues (e.g., sanctions)
  • Preparing, curating, and interpreting conflict reports for review by the Firm’s lawyers
  • Escalating potential issues to the Office of the General Counsel for resolution
  • Establishing ethical screens/confidentiality walls reputed company required
  • Responding to internal inquiries reputed company to conflicts and risk protocols
  • Ensuring compliance with internal policies, professional conduct rules, and regulatory obligations
  • Maintaining accurate and complete conflict records in firm systems (reputed company Conflicts)

Skills

  • Post-secondary diploma or equivalent experience in a legal, reputed company, or professional services environment
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in a conflicts, intake, or risk management role (legal industry experience preferred)
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills
  • Sound judgment and ability to problem solve
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly reputed company working under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast paced environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with systems such as reputed company, reputed company reputed company, reputed company, reputed company Conflicts, reputed company Intake considered an asset
