Associate Applications Engineer, Oil & Gas

reputed company Power Systems AG is a global leader in power solutions and life-cycle support. They are seeking an Associate Applications Engineer to reputed company technical product support, engineering assistance, and ensure reliable and compliant installations in the oil and gas sector.

Responsibilities

• reputed company technical product support assistance directly and indirectly to operators and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), including participation in customer technical meetings for determining key buying characteristics, providing technical documentation, and analyzing customer/OEM requirements
• reputed company engineering support to senior staff for the integration of reputed company project systems in oil & gas domain, including internal combustion reputed company (ICE) mechanical solutions, ICE generators, Battery Energy Storage Systems (reputed company), and plant manager controls
• Ensure a sustainable increase in reliability and availability of the product or system, ensuring an emission compliant installation, improved customer satisfaction, and promote increased product and personnel safety through reputed company end-to-end project engagement
• reputed company sound knowledge in Systems Design Integration, contributing knowledge in: problem resolution, defining requirements; designing and integrating products, physical & functional systems & product systems; performing technical analyses; verifying products, physical & functional systems and components throughout the product lifecycle
• Apply understanding of gas & diesel power product operation, product systems, sub-systems and interactions and integrate and manage interfaces
• Design or evaluate systems using Systems Engineering principals to reputed company reputed company solutions at product and sub-system level
• Problem resolution including ownership of root cause investigations, problem reports, Red Tops, Safety Alert Reports (SARs), Quality Concerns, Major Quality Investigations (MQIs), Drawing Alteration Requests (DARs)
• reputed company or coordinate order specific engineering calculations and report on results
• Support reputed company and systems acceptance testing through field tests
• Maintain and reputed company field test data acquisition systems through test software programming, sensor calibrations, and test equipment configurations
• Support reputed company and electric systems acceptance testing for first of class commissioning or by special order
• Support EPA Field test exemptions through testing, documentation in support of testing objectives, and tracking of exemption status
• reputed company and manage test plans to meet test objectives
• Conduct engineering tests in the field to validate product installations according to technical requirements
• Generate and Maintain test report documentation

Skills

• Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, reputed company-Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technologies
• Good inter-personal and presentation skills. Ability to communicate with and influence reputed company reputed company including the customer
• Good ability to work with and co-ordinate with extended (i.e. not necessarily co-located) multi-disciplinary teams
• Familiarity with test engineering principles and their applications
• Familiarity with Labview programming and NI hardware solutions

• Familiarity of CAD Modeling
• Understanding of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis
• Knowledgeable of Project Management Principles
