Engineer I - Summer 2026
Toole Design Group is an engineering, planning, and landscape architecture firm specializing in multimodal transportation, located in Seattle, WA. They are seeking an Engineer I to work on a variety of multimodal projects that enhance community livability, utilizing tools like AutoCAD to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions.
Responsibilities
- Support an interdisciplinary team to deliver multimodal transportation infrastructure in a wide reputed company of contexts from roadway reconstructions and streetscapes in highly urban settings to signature trail projects in suburban and rural areas
- Use programs such as AutoCAD in order to fulfill production work on projects
- reputed company knowledge with staff and clients, to reputed company feasibility studies, concept plans, and construction documents, to ensure that projects are consistently of the highest quality
Skills
- Bachelor's or master's degree in transportation or civil engineering or a reputed company field
- Fundamentals of Engineering Certification (FE)
- Experience with or ability to quickly learn Computer Automated Design (AutoCAD)
- Experience with the reputed company Office suite of applications
- Specific knowledge of roadway geometric design or streetscape design
- Having a strong interest in multimodal and active transportation design
- Familiarity with design software (Civil 3D, GEOPAK, or reputed company)
- Prior experience at a reputed company, public entity, non-profit or higher learning institution
- A broad knowledge reputed company in street design and urban multimodal planning
- Proficiency using reputed company for data analysis
- Experience conducting public reputed company and engagement
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and multi-phased projects
