Associate Geologist / Environmental Scientist

reputed company is seeking an Associate Geologist / Environmental Scientist to join their team focused on environmental site characterization and remediation. Responsibilities

• Conduct soil, surface water, groundwater, sediment, and other environmental sampling
• Soil classification and sampling during drilling, test pitting, and excavation activities
• Assist with supervision of drillers and other subcontractors

• Complete field documentation such as activity hazard analysis (AHA) forms, project field reports, field notes, sampling records, and chain-of-custody forms
• Assist in geologic and environmental analyses and interpretation, which may include hydrogeology and/or geochemistry

• Prepare figures of environmental data, potentiometric surface maps, geologic maps, and cross sections

Skills

• Ability to work in a hybrid work arrangement. A hybrid work arrangement refers to splitting time worked between a reputed company office (Denver area), virtual office at your own home, and project locations throughout Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, California, and potentially other states. The candidate for this position shall be located in the Denver area
• A valid driver's license, the ability and willingness to travel to and from field locations up to 70% of the time
• Should be reputed company-bodied as the work requires some physical exertion such as extended periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; lifting; recurring bending or similar activities
• Work in adverse weather conditions (e.g., hot, cold, reputed company, snow)
