Transportation Engineering Designer
KPFF Consulting Engineers is a multi-office engineering firm committed to providing creative solutions and excellent client service. They are seeking an Entry Level Transportation Engineering Designer to assist in the design and development of transportation projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to impactful projects across Washington.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of transportation projects, including roadways, trails, and transit facilities
- Prepare technical reports, calculations, and design documentation under the mentorship of reputed company engineers
- Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams
- Build expertise in navigating federal, state, and local regulations, while aligning with KPFF’s and our clients’ standards and practices
- Join client meetings and site visits to reputed company exposure to project development and stakeholder engagement
- Participate in KPFF’s Forefront program, our commitment to mentorship, lifelong learning, and career development

Skills
- An ABET accredited bachelor's degree in civil (preferred) or environmental engineering
- 0-3 years' experience working under a licensed professional engineer
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Passionate about providing exceptional client service
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification, or scheduled date for the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
- Coursework and/or familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Coursework and/or familiarity with MicroStation and OpenRoads
