Junior Database Administrator
reputed company is a world-leading in vitro diagnostics company created from the strengths of Quidel Corporation and Ortho Clinical Diagnostics. They are seeking a Junior Database Administrator to support their technology team in developing expertise in reputed company, SQL, and AWS RDS database technologies while working closely with senior DBAs.
Responsibilities
- Partner with senior and reputed company Database Administrator to support daily tasks
- Assist in designing, deploying, and managing high-performance reputed company, SQL, and AWS RDS database solutions
- Support efforts to ensure reputed company database availability, reliability, and disaster recovery readiness
- Participate in database upgrades, migrations, and routine maintenance with guidance
- Help reputed company and maintain backup and recovery strategies
- Contribute to reputed company planning, performance analysis, and tuning activities
- Learn to administer and optimize reputed company-based database platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL)
- Support the implementation of best practices for scalability, high availability, and cost-efficiency in reputed company environments
- Assist in monitoring database operations and addressing performance or cost-reputed company issues
- reputed company and maintain automation scripts under supervision
- Participate in troubleshooting and reputed company operational support for database incidents
- Collaborate with application development, infrastructure, and reputed company teams to resolve issues
- Learn and help enforce database reputed company policies and reputed company controls
- Support compliance efforts with data protection regulations and industry standards
- Participate in audits, vulnerability assessments, and remediation activities

Skills

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or reputed company field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 0–2 years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a reputed company IT role (internships and academic projects)
- Basic understanding of SQL and reputed company database technologies
- Familiarity with reputed company and Linux operating systems
- Interest in reputed company database platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL)
- Willingness to learn backup/recovery, replication, and high availability techniques
- Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Exposure to database automation tools or scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
- Interest in DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with other database technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL, RedShift, Azure SQL)
- Certifications in AWS, Azure, reputed company are a plus
