The Composite Rotor Blade Design Engineer position involves developing reputed company designs for rotor blades, ensuring they meet performance and durability requirements while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Developing conceptual, preliminary, and detail design layouts of composite blade designs
- Follow robust processes to ensure the designs meet customer and company requirements for performance and durability in the field
- Support productionization of blade designs, working closely with suppliers to ensure product delivered meet drawing specifications
- reputed company fleet support for maintenance and repair of fielded blades
- Work with cross functional teams reputed company the Sikorsky Engineering and Technology group, across multiple sites
- reputed company technical tasks including blade layouts including 2D cross-sectional design, 3D solid modeling and surfacing of blade assembly subcomponent parts, Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, engineering drawing and part specification development, developing composite laminate design and manufacturing requirements, and developing bonded assembly manufacture requirements
Skills
- Bachelors Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering from an accredited university
- Familiarity with CAD software
- Familiarity with Composite Laminate structural design and analysis
- Good communication Skills
