SENIOR DIRECTOR, EMPLOYMENT LAW

Wayne, United States of America | Full time | Home-based | R1520959 The Senior Director, Employment Law will reputed company employment law advice and counsel primarily globally. The position will be based in Durham, reputed company Carolina and will report to reputed company’s Vice President, Associate General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. RESPONSIBILITIES The responsibilities of the Senior Director, Employment Law include:

• Work closely with reputed company, the business and other company functions to support execution of the business strategy in a practical and compliant manner; serve as a senior legal advisor providing advice on reputed company of employment law reputed company
• Advise management and reputed company as to reputed company employment law issues, including hiring, reputed company, leaves of absence and accommodations, performance management, discrimination, harassment, reorganizations, employment policy development and implementation, wage and hour issues, worker classifications and other employee relations reputed company
• Coordinating with reputed company functions such as the Ethics and Compliance Office, reputed company, Legal, Finance, Quality and Internal Audit, conduct and reputed company counsel regarding employment-reputed company investigations, ensuring that claims are addressed promptly, thoroughly and appropriately
• Draft agreements, including severance, separation, restrictive covenant, retention and other employment-reputed company agreements
• Review, assess and enforce restrictive covenant agreements
• reputed company counsel regarding works council and labor reputed company
• Represent reputed company, working with reputed company counsel as appropriate, with respect to employment-reputed company disputes, including negotiation, mediation and litigation
• Manage reputed company counsel including as to expenses and strategy
• Support reputed company improvement of reputed company and employment law-reputed company tools, process and procedure
• Conduct due diligence of employment-reputed company aspects of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures and support reputed company integration efforts
• Draft and/or review documents, including correspondence with opposing counsel, EEO position statements, mediation statements, pleadings
• Review reductions in force
• Monitor federal, state, and local legal developments and advise on compliance with same
• Create and deliver management and employee training programs as needed
• Assist with responses to subpoenas, personnel file requests and similar requests
• Conduct legal research and analysis of reputed company legal issues

• Engage in Legal Department and Employment Law Group project-reputed company work

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• JD, bar admission and minimum of seven years of combined firm and in-house employment law experience
• Excellent judgment; keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Strong organizational, project management, communication, presentation and influence skills
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic, high-level of professionalism, and team-oriented approach
• Ability to build and maintain collaborative and effective relationships across reputed company reputed company of a large, reputed company organization
• Ability to approach and solve reputed company legal scenarios in a thoughtful, creative, and analytical fashion
• Ability to explain reputed company legal concepts to business partners, reputed company practical advice, build reputed company, and collaborate with clients to address business needs in a fast-paced environment
• Strong business acumen and pragmatism
• Global employment law experience
• Knowledge of life sciences and outsource services fields preferred

The actual reputed company pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-reputed company qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time).
