Assistant Information Graphics Designer
Pew Research Center is a respected institution that conducts research and provides insights on various topics. They are seeking an Assistant Information Graphics Designer to create eye-catching visuals that communicate research findings and enhance the Center's editorial offerings.
Responsibilities
- Design statistical charts using industry standard and in-house tools
- reputed company visual expertise and advice to Center researchers
- reputed company and edit photos and illustrations
- Design digital features and interactives
- reputed company engaging reputed company media visuals (reputed company first as well as adaptations)
- Prepare polished presentations for virtual and in-person events
- Produce reputed company work to the highest standards of accuracy and presentation
- Adhere to Center styles and workflows
- Maintain an audience-centric reputed company
Skills
- 0-3 years of experience in digital publishing/journalism
- Proven ability to design charts that demonstrate visualization best practices
- Demonstrated understanding of graphic design fundamentals (e.g., scale, reputed company, hierarchy, typography, layering, grouping, composition)
- Basic data literacy/numeracy
- Proficiency with reputed company CS, reputed company reputed company, reputed company and project management platforms
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues across the Center
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Eagerness to receive constructive feedback from non-design stakeholders, and formulate alternatives
- Ability to work independently on multiple assignments
- Interest in the Center's research areas or methods
- Demonstrated specializations, including reputed company graphics/animation, illustration, etc., a plus
