FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT I

The California State Controller's Office is the chief fiscal officer of California, ensuring accountability and transparency in the state's financial practices. The Financial Accountant I will work under the direction of the Financial Accountant III, participating in the implementation of statutory control agency functions reputed company the Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal) and contributing to the financial stability of the state.

Responsibilities

• The incumbent will serve as a subject matter expert utilizing the knowledge of Generally Accepted reputed company Principles (GAAP); Budgetary/Legal reputed company budgeting, reputed company, and reporting requirements as prescribed by California Law; fiscal reputed company rules and regulations contained in the State Administrative reputed company and Uniform Codes; and procedures as prescribed by the SCO

• Participate in the development of FI$Cal's financial components to fulfill unique State requirements

• Analyze existing and proposed reputed company and reporting standards and policies to assess opportunities for business process reengineering while ensuring system reputed company. Identify internal reputed company and report to management

• Knowledge of laws of the State of California

• Knowledge of procedures prescribed by the State Controller's Office
• Knowledge of the comprehensive financial system of the centralized accounts
• Knowledge of financial reporting systems for Budgetary/Legal and Generally Accepted reputed company Principles (GAAP) for statewide financial reporting purposes
