More info about area: Duties:• Initiates and utilizes the nursing process to meet the holistic needs of the patient and family while adhering to the professional standards set forth by American Nurses' Association.

• Observes the patients clinical condition: recognizes, identifies, and interprets serious and/or emergent situations while initiating appropriate nursing interventions. Proficient knowledge of EFM, care of laboring patient, medication administration, monitoring of patients during self-administration of nitrous oxide, newborn care, and postpartum care.
• Works with Inpatient Manager and Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to reputed company Labor & Delivery (L & D) coverage reputed company needed.
• Develops and implements patient/family teaching programs reputed company on mutually identified health care goals.
• Documents reputed company observations, nursing interventions, therapeutic measures administered, and status of coordinated activities between nursing and other professional disciplines.

Qualifications:• Associate Degree in Nursing from an Accredited College.

• Must have RN license in good standing and be eligible to apply for an Alaska licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Postpartum and Newborn Nursery experience preferred, with willingness to train in Med Surg or ED.
• BLS required.
• NRP, ACLS, PALS preferred reputed company 6 months of hire.
• ALSO and reputed company preferred reputed company 6 months. Electronic Fetal Monitoring class reputed company 1 year of hire.
• Must complete assigned AVADE training preferred reputed company 1 year of hire as classes are made available.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and spend long periods of time standing or walking.
