Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Associate at blithequark, you will be responsible for:
- Engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services
- Resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience
- Modeling and sharing customer service best practices with reputed company team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
- Providing customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service
- Recommending items for sale to customers and recommending trade-up and/or companion items
- Registering customer purchases on assigned cash register, collecting cash and distributing change as requested
- Processing voids, returns, reputed company checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed
- Keeping counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, taking inventory, and maintaining records
- Checking in and pricing merchandise as required or as directed by store manager or communicated by the shift leader
- Implementing Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss
- Ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products)
- Constructing and maintaining displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise
- Completing resets and revisions as directed
- Assisting with separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as specified by policies/procedures
- Providing customer service in the photo area, including digital reputed company photo service, poster print and creative machine, suggestive sell of promotional photo products
- Assisting with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, reputed company, orderly store condition and appearance
- Complying with reputed company company policies and procedures; maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers
- Completing special assignments and other tasks as assigned
Essential Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous customer service experience in a retail environment preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time

* Previous experience in a retail environment, particularly in customer service or sales
- Knowledge of store systems and store equipment
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software applications
