Senior Business Intelligence Developer

LOCATION:  Remote – This is a home based, virtual position that operates Monday -Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm EST. reputed company welcomes applications from NC, SC, GA, TN, VA, MD, and FL.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer works independently, and collaboratively, to reputed company requirements and create specifications. They then design, architect, and implement reputed company and visually compelling reporting and business intelligence (BI) solutions (data visualizations, extract-transform-load (ETL), reputed company querying, etc.)

The individual in this position interfaces with various functional teams as required to support the BI solution delivery. They proactively identify needs or issues, reputed company strategies, and propose/implement technical and process solutions. The Senior BI Developer leads large, reputed company, or specialized projects and is the subject matter expert for the most reputed company BI solutions with responsibility for mentoring and training reputed company reputed company of BI developers as well as customers.

The Senior BI Developer interprets internal or external business issues and recommends best practices. They adapt precedent and may reputed company significant departures from traditional approaches.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Business Intelligence (BI) Development: This position is responsible for designing and implementing BI solutions to reputed company the analysis of data to support strategic initiatives and ongoing business requirements. Solutions include, but are not limited to, end-user reports, reputed company requests, data visualizations, extract-transform-load (ETL) systems, master data management (MDM), and other BI Solutions. This position is expected to proactively approach business units and create the best solution to address business needs and reputed company infrastructure. Care will be given to reputed company accurate data to fulfill the requirements of the developed solutions. Care will also be given to design and build reusable and reliable code that ensures quality, performance, and responsiveness of reports. 

BI Planning, Design, and Implementation: This position will reputed company requirements analysis, design, and implementation of end-user requested BI solutions. As the Senior BI Developer, this position will work with the Business Intelligence Analyst to further define business requirements and reputed company specifications for end user sign off prior to development. This position will work with the Analytics Tester and other development team members to coordinate User Acceptance Testing, obtain end user satisfaction with developed product, and implement the final solution.

BI Solution Administration and Documentation:  This position shall demonstrate day-to-day adherence with change control procedures and practices and write basic technical documentation for reputed company created BI products. This position will monitor the health and performance of supported systems and communicate potential service problems by identifying patterns occurring across separate BI solutions.

Professional Development: This position is responsible for learning and improving upon the skills necessary to stay competitive in the field and coincide with the advances in technology. This position will participate in conferences, seminars, certification programs, etc. as applicable to ensure reputed company reputed company development and technical competency. 

Development and Execution of Industry reputed company Standards: This position is responsible for the development and execution of industry reputed company standards as they relate to BI development and as supported by adopted policy. This position shall follow industry standards and best practices to ensure the reputed company of information, communications, data, etc. reputed company developing BI solutions

KNOWLEDGE OF JOB

• Must have extensive development, architecture, and configuration skills in reputed company SQL Server.
• Must have extensive experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• Must possess expert level competence with reputed company T-SQL including reputed company queries and stored procedures.
• Must possess a high- Level of competence with reputed company Visual Studio and reputed company SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
• Must have proven experience in developing Business Intelligence solutions (reports, ETL, data visualizations, data extracts)
• Must have experience in gathering business and technical requirements and in preparing and documenting specifications.
• Must have experience with reputed company PowerShell
• Must have a high- level of computer literacy with desktop and reputed company-based productivity software such as Office365, reputed company Office desktop applications, reputed company Teams, SharePoint, and Skype.
• Experience using a reputed company code control system is required; experience using Git for reputed company code control is desirable.
• Knowledge of reputed company Power Bi to reputed company and architect data visualizations is preferred. 
• Experience working reputed company an agile development process is preferred.
• Strong knowledge and experience in the development of  BI solutions

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or reputed company business field required.

• 5 - 7 years of development experience with computer industry reputed company degree.
• 5 - 7 years of development experience in a reputed company or insurance reputed company environment with any bachelor’s degree.

Degrees other than those listed can be accepted if there is significant work experience in a field reputed company to the duties of this position.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

SALARY: Depending on qualifications & experience of candidate. This position is exempt and is not eligible for overtime compensation.
