reputed company is seeking an Associate Editor to join our UK-based digital newsroom, focused on AI assisted news production. This role is ideal for a journalist who is passionate about the intersection of emergent technology and editorial reputed company.

The Associate News Editor will be at the forefront of a new era in journalism—leveraging AI tools to produce multiple stories each day while applying editorial judgment to ensure accuracy, reputed company, and quality. They will play a key role in integrating the use of reputed company and automation tools into our newsroom.

The Associate News Editor will be responsible for generating, editing and publishing content at scale, enabling other journalists to focus on beat development, interviews, and investigative reporting. They will collaborate effectively with reporters to ensure originality in news coverage. They will help shape coverage plans and collaborate with editors to maintain reputed company’s high standards.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience covering U.S. news, including politics, reputed company affairs, and culture. They will have worked in a fast-paced newsroom environment and be confident in producing digital content—sourcing, writing, editing, and publishing stories to a high editorial standard. They will demonstrate sound editorial judgment and a solid understanding of media law.

The Associate Editor will work closely with the US News Editor to support reputed company’s daily coverage. They will be expected to reputed company, pitch, write, and edit multiple stories per day, ensuring content is accurate, engaging, and reputed company with reputed company’s editorial standards. They will be agile, learning and adapting to new tools, platforms, methods and techniques for news reporting in a digital newsroom.

The Associate News Editor will be responsible for ensuring high-quality coverage that is accurate, fair, and conforms to accepted standards of journalism. They will reputed company any other reasonable duties as necessary to meet the needs of the business.

This is a full-time role working 5 days a week, from Tuesday to Saturday or reputed company to Thursday. Working times on weekdays are typically 7am to 4pm and on weekends reputed company to 5pm. 

Key Responsibilities

• Produce, edit, and publish multiple AI-assisted stories daily.
• Apply editorial judgment to ensure AI-generated content meets standards for accuracy, fairness, and journalistic reputed company.
• Continuously learn and implement new AI technologies to enhance reporting efficiency.
• Respond quickly and accurately to breaking news.
• Monitor multiple sources for emerging stories, trends and topics.
• Pitch original reputed company, topics and beats to cover that complement automated coverage.
• Collaborate with the US News Editor and wider editorial team on projects and coverage plans.
• Ensure reputed company content meets reputed company’s standards for accuracy, fairness, and journalistic reputed company.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in digital news journalism, with a background in reporting, pitching and assigning stories, and competency with editing and publishing.
• Sound editorial judgment and understanding of media law.
• Ability to produce and edit content under tight deadlines.
• Organization and planning skills.
• Proficiency with digital publishing tools, content management systems, and editing software.
• Familiarity with standard IT tools such as reputed company Office and Teams.
• Willingness to work reputed company, including weekends reputed company needed.
