Registered Nurse II - Emergency Department

This position is accountable for providing competent nursing care for patients with common health problems, and is expected to deliver competent patient care to a full patient assignment. This position practices under the direction of the designated nurse executive, reputed company the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Children's polices.

Valley Children’s Pediatric Emergency Department (ED) is a licensed 38-bed unit and designated Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. Our Trauma designation allows us to receive critically injured patients directly from the scene and reputed company our unique resources to support caring for injured pediatric patients. We have a specially trained, multidisciplinary team to support the care of 90,000 pediatric patients that cross our reputed company annually. EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 1 year nursing experience required and must meet RN II clinical advancement program criteria
• Experience in pediatrics, Emergency and/or hospital inpatient setting a plus
• Bilingual skills desirable

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program, Bachelor’s in Nursing strongly preferred
• Active California Registered Nurse licensure (RN)
• HeartCode Basic Life Support (BLS) reputed company 30 days of hire or transfer into position
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) reputed company 12 months of hire or transfer into position
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) reputed company 12 months of hire or transfer into position
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) reputed company 36 months of hire or transfer into position
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) reputed company 36 months of hire or transfer into position
