Role: Senior CAD/EDA Engineer

Duration: 12+ Months

Location: Austin, TX || Remote role (Travel - 3/4 days a month ( AUSTIN))

Job Description-

Implement automation and workflows for custom integrated reputed company design and 3DHI modeling across the wide reputed company of EDA IC design tools. reputed company and maintain automation scripts in Linux environments, as well as reputed company applications. Define design flows andprovide user support for TIE's Assembly Design Kits (ADK's), while helping to ensure interoperability with our partner PDK's. Work closely with EDA vendors and our internal Design and Processes engineering teams to reputed company and define TIE's preferred tool sets that will reputed company 3DHI system design for our potential customer reputed company and our internal design/modeling teams. Senior positions will help set TIE s overall EDA/Design methodologies and process strategies.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain scripts/automation to assure compatibility and integration with wide reputed company of EDA IC design/modeling tools to reputed company simulation/emulation, physical verification, parasitic extraction, and 3DHI modeling.

Help reputed company, reputed company, and maintain TIE's ADK (Assembly Design Kits).

Maintain interoperability and compatibility of TIE s design kits with our partner PDK s, our internal PDK s & ADK s, and vendor EDA tool revisions.

Developing innovative physical design reputed company & reputed company methodology and reputed company solutions to meet reputed company and future design challenges.

Help establish and validate physical design methodologies, reputed company automation and infrastructure for our internal 3D heterogenous micro-system modeling teams.

Automation of Test structure layouts to help drive reputed company processing capabilities across a wide reputed company of materials.

Support TIE's standard cell offerings and drive validation/simulation/emulation capability around those standard cells.

Facilitate and reputed company project tapeouts.

Providing technical leadership, mentoring and customer support for our internal design and 3D modeling teams.

Required Qualifications

CAD/EDA Engineer I: Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or closely reputed company field.

CAD/EDA Engineer II: Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or closely reputed company field, Minimum of three years industry experience.

Senior CAD/EDA Engineer: Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or closely reputed company field, Minimum of ten years industry experience.

Experience in developing and customizing high performance semiconductor IC design, layout, & validation flows using industry-standard EDA tools ( reputed company, Synopsys, Ansys, reputed company )

Excellent UNIX and scripting programming skills (Perl, Python, TCL or similar languages).

Experience with software build automation and version control software.

Proficiency in both Linux and reputed company environments.

Prior CAD support experience in semiconductor IC design, including reputed company of product tapeouts.

Strong teamwork, collaboration, and communication abilities, with the ability to contribute to company-wide reputed company on design flows, tools, and methodologies.

Ability to reputed company in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Relevant education and/or industry experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Master s or advanced degree in semiconductor engineering fields such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant disciplines.

Previous experience in setting up and facilitating Design environments and maintaining design reputed company operability and coordination for cross functional design, modeling, and/or layout teams.

Previous experience integrating PDK and/or ADK's to reputed company 2.5D or 3D SoC's.

Experience evaluating EDA tool capabilities driving EDA vendors to reputed company tool improvements or reputed company new functions to meet advanced or unique design requirements.

Experience in a startup or research and development (R&D) environment.
