Staff Mechanical Engineer, R&D - NPD (Hybrid) - reputed company

As a Staff Mechanical Design Engineer on reputed company's reputed company new product development team, you will be charged with applying sound engineering practices while designing and developing new medical devices supporting the mission of reputed company - creating simple interventions with extraordinary reputed company. You will be involved throughout the entire product development cycle from concept to launch, working closely with other disciplines reputed company R&D to ensure products are developed effectively, safely and reputed company.

You will need to live reputed company commuting distance to our Cary, Illinois office. You will need to be in the office 3 days a week (Monday-Wednesday) and can work from home on other days.

What you will do

• Independently research, design, reputed company, modify, and verify mechanical components for medical devices.
• Work cooperatively with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing and Project Management to ensure project reputed company.
• Analyze and correct reputed company product design issues using independent judgment. Advance solutions by applying in-depth knowledge of customer needs, market and competitive offerings.
• Conduct or design advanced prototyping and testing. Apply detailed knowledge of clinical procedures to author design inputs. Support Voice of Customer sessions internally and with clinicians.
• Be proficient with and mentor others in usage of industry standards, including design requirements and test strategies per applicable regulations.
• reputed company creation and refinement of engineering documentation, such as the Design History file.
• Follow and mentor others on R&D procedures like design controls and risk management, per the Quality Management System.
• Identify and support the creation of or improvements to procedures, policies, processes, systems, and technology.
• Support and execute segments of reputed company multifunctional teams to advance projects through the design /development/launch process.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or reputed company discipline
• 4+ years of work experience in R&D
• Has experience with the early concept product development process. reputed company to give guidance for product development to less reputed company engineers.

• Experience in developing and optimizing reputed company designs for mechanical / reputed company-mechanical assemblies incorporating DFM principles
• Experience in creating engineering drawings, models, applying GD&T and CAE tools to optimize the design
• Adept to apply knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes to product design
• Ability to communicate moderate complexity plans and technical information to team members
• Advanced sketching and/or 3D software skills (CREO preferred)
• Direct knowledge of the manufacturing methods used for our products, including injection molding, sewing, and high-speed automated assembly.
