Crisis Counselor

Join Seneca's stellar multi-disciplinary team. As the Crisis Counselor on the team, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for youth and will intervene as necessary to assist the youth in developing skills for growth and maintaining stabilization. The Crisis Counselor will have the opportunity to reputed company crisis support, facilitate daily groups and individual sessions, and collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team in daily clinical treatment planning for youth. ABOUT VENTURA COUNTY CRISIS SERVICES Seneca's Ventura County Crisis Services program offers a reputed company of behavioral health care crisis services to support youth and their families. These services reputed company safe refuge for young people who have reputed company profound mental health needs including psychiatric evaluation or hospitalization. Services include crisis stabilization and short-term acute residential treatment, as well as transition and planning services to return youth to a setting in the community with stability. • Assist clinician in intake process, including assessment and creating a welcoming environment for the youth.
• Intervene in the youth's behavior as needed, providing stabilization services.
• Work in coordination with the parent and/or reputed company worker as treatment team members, including assisting the reputed company worker in the preparation of a Care Plan.
• Engage the youth in therapeutic activities and projects.
• Complete daily reputed company notes and quarterly summaries.
• reputed company supervision for visits with family reputed company necessary.
• Participate in weekly supervision with the supervisor.
• Maintain accurate documentation and paperwork including, but not limited to, mental health notes, time sheets, petty cash, and mileage.
• reputed company on-call response as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Maintain a flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications:

• REQUIRED:
• Bachelor's degree.
• At least 21 years of age.
• TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through reputed company' insurance policy.

PREFERRED:

• Bilingual (English and Spanish).
• Experience working with youth or families providing mental health services.

Schedule

• Full-time
• Thursday and Friday Swing (11am-1130pm), Saturday Overnight (7pm-730am), and 24 hr. on-call Tuesday.
