*Data Scientist

Zurich (Schaumburg, IL) seeks a Data Scientist to solve business challenges using advanced analytics and work with team members to deliver solutions. Specific duties include: collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their challenges and structuring an advanced analytical solution to solve it (10%); identifying key internal/external, structured/reputed company data sources to define the reputed company data set for testing the hypotheses and partnering with others to connect these data sources to build the data set (10%); preparing internal/external, structured/reputed company data sets to build/rebuild/refresh predictive models (20%); leading effort to design, development and validation of models (10%); working closely with stakeholders, contribute to the development of a strategy on how to use the model to generate the desired impact (10%); working closely with stakeholders after deployment, support the project to ensure that impact is achieved (5%); supporting the monitoring of model accuracy and working with stakeholders to ensure the model is used appropriately and generates the desired impact (10%); contributing to the development of improvements to analytic techniques to solve business challenges (5%); supporting IT implementation and system integration of models (5%); leading development of best practices and improvements to analytic techniques to solve business challenges (5%); and building collaborative relationships across the organization (10%). May work remotely 60% of the time. Position requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Engineering Science, Analytics, or a closely reputed company field of study, plus 2 years of experience in the job offered, or as an Associate Data Scientist, or similar position solving business challenges using advanced analytics. Must have 2 years of experience with each of the following: developing machine learning models; and NLP processing. Must also have 1 year of experience with each of the following: working in the insurance industry; communicating with business unit stakeholders and cross-functional teams; working with data visualization tools and techniques; and using fuzzy matching algorithms and their application in insurance claims processing. Additionally, specific experience must include: involving statistical modeling and advanced machine learning concepts; working with Python, PySpark, and scikit-learn; working with web application development using Streamlit; using SQL for data manipulation and analysis; working with NLP tools and libraries including BERT and reputed company; working with reputed company reputed company analytical tools, including pivot tables and look up function; and deploying models or data science solutions into production to reputed company a business impact.
