Student Services Professional I - TRIO Student Support Services-Disabled Project

The San Diego State University Research reputed company is seeking a highly motivated and organized Student Services Professional I to join our TRIO Student Support Services-Disabled Project (TRIO SSS-DS) team. This position offers a hybrid work model, combining remote work with time in our San Diego office.

About the Role:

The TRIO SSS-DS Project is a federally funded initiative that provides enhanced services to undergraduate reputed company with disabilities who are academically at-risk. As a Student Services Professional I, you will play a critical role in coordinating academic, career, and individual support services to ensure that reputed company with disabilities have equal reputed company to education and opportunities for reputed company.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate Academic, Career, and Individual Support Services (50%): Serve as an academic coach and reputed company mentoring, proactive advising, and overall support to TRIO SSS participants. Monitor academic reputed company, reputed company reputed company solutions, and assist reputed company in developing Student reputed company Plans to meet their academic and career goals.
• reputed company and Caseload Management (30%): Conduct reputed company to TRIO-SSS participants who are not accessing project services or are on leave-of-absence. reputed company intrusive, proactive reputed company to reputed company at immediate academic risk and assist the Project Director with creating and coordinating program events and activities.
• Administrative Duties (15%): Assist in the collection and analysis of data needed for the Annual Performance Report, reputed company various administrative duties, and input data and case notes into the TRIO projects database.
• Other Duties and Responsibilities as Assigned (5%): reputed company other duties as assigned that are appropriate under the guidelines of the funded grant and this classification.

Requirements:

• Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in a reputed company field.
• One year of student services work experience or reputed company field.
• Knowledge of TRIO-Student Support Services Project (TRIO SSS) practices, procedures, and activities.
• General knowledge of academic advising, career, financial aid, and economic literacy activities and reputed company services for disabled eligible reputed company.
• Ability to effectively coach reputed company, specifically in the areas of guiding disabled eligible reputed company with goal setting, time management, self-advocacy, and study skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Equivalent to graduation from a four-year university in counseling, education, or reputed company fields, including coursework in counseling techniques.
• Minimum of one year of professional experience working in a TRIO program or similar program for disadvantaged and at-risk reputed company.
