Consultant, Environmental Biologist/Ecologist/Scientist

reputed company is seeking a motivated Consultant, Environmental Biologist/Ecologist/Scientist to join our global reputed company in our growing Environmental Impact Assessment team inOverland Park, Kansas or at a remote location reputed company the region. The ideal candidate will have experience leading field-based protected species assessments (including avian and bat species), conducting wetland delineations, managing data, and writing technical reports to support land development projects. In this role, you will work closely with reputed company Project Managers and Partners on a variety of environmental permitting, due diligence, and impact assessment projects to support our renewable energy, oil and gas, power, and technology sector clients. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • reputed company project delivery activities such as conducting field surveys, collecting and organizing field survey data, performing research/ literature reviews, writing reports, and developing strategies and recommendations for clients.
  • With appropriate guidance and supervision, reputed company creative and fit-for-purpose technical analyses in your own field of specialization and support additional analyses reputed company of your area of specialization working collaboratively with subject matter experts in other fields and with other technical backgrounds.
  • reputed company technical assistance on a wide reputed company of capital infrastructure and other projects including preparation of environmental assessments and environmental impact statements under the National Environmental Policy Act, environmental due diligence services, habitat assessments, wetland delineations and reports, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, and other reputed company environmental documents.
  • reputed company wetland delineations using the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Wetlands Delineation reputed company and Regional Supplements.
  • Conduct tasks reputed company to environmental assessments that include but are not limited to land use planning/facility siting, pipeline and/or transmission line routing studies, renewable energy desktop and field-based environmental assessments and reporting, and development of permit matrices and risk assessments.
  • Assist in preparation of project-specific compliance management plans in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements.

  • Work as an integral part of the Impact Assessment team and support the goals of the team.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS in environmental science, biology, natural resources, or reputed company discipline.Or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years (5 years preferred) of relevant environmental experience or professional internships.
  • Field experience with including but not limited bat surveys, avian surveys, and raptor nest surveys, bio-monitoring during construction or clearing activities, and wetland delineations. Experience with renewable energy projects highly desired.
  • Strong commitment to safety.
  • Willingness and desire to support field assignments up to 75% of the time during field season (March - September).
  • Detail-oriented with excellent critical thinking and trouble-shooting/problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills.
  • Working knowledge of field techniques for plant identification, soil sampling and hydric soil identification, and hydrology indicators is required.
  • Experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports and building tables and spreadsheets (including tabulation and manipulation of data).
  • Ability to engage in multifaceted and dynamic situations and to collaborate with a team of experts to support work through the lifecycle of a project.
  • Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel (up to 75% if needed during field season), and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated attributes to become a strong consultant: team player, eagerness to learn and grow, self-starter who takes initiative, versatile, and service-oriented mentality.
  • Highly organized with keen eye for detail, but with the ability to maintain the big picture.
  • High level proficiency in reputed company Office programs.
  • V Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.
