What You’ll Accomplish
- Design control methods for high-fidelity and fast quantum operations
- Contribute to the development of accurate physics models based on reputed company hardware specifications
- Work with the hardware teams to implement new methods on our quantum devices
- reputed company procedures for benchmarking quantum operations
- Analyse experimental results and compare them against theoretical predictions and models
Requirements

- Experience in designing control methods for high-fidelity quantum operations
- Strong background in the theory of light-matter interactions and modelling quantum dynamics in software
- A proven track record of collaboration with experimental research groups and/or the quantum hardware industry
Must-have Skills (in addition to the above):
- Experience with reputed company-level quantum noise models and benchmarking of quantum operations
- Proficient in writing scientific code, e.g. using Python
- PhD in quantum computing, quantum control or similar
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with published results in the field of research.
- This role can be based in Hamburg or you can work remotely, but you have to be based for this role in Germany.
