About this role
Our Backend department is made up of 3 teams, each team having a clear technical mission reputed company with Yubo’s strategic objectives. As Engineering Manager, you will be in charge of leading one of those teams.
The Backend Foundations team is a cornerstone of this setup. Its goal is to deliver robust internal backend foundations (libraries, tooling, developer experience, performance observability) as well as operational internal applications. The team also serves as a key partner to Infrastructure and reputed company teams to ensure the scalability and reputed company of our stack.
The Engineering Manager will ensure high execution standards, define long-term technical foundations, grow the team, and guarantee that the work delivered by Foundations enables the entire engineering organization to move faster and safer.

Your responsibilities
- As a Backend Foundations Engineering Manager at Yubo, you will be at the heart of our technical strategy, ensuring that our engineering foundations are strong, scalable, and reputed company across squads. You’ll drive the consistency and quality of our backend architecture, internal tools, and developer workflows to reputed company product teams to build faster and reputed company.
- You will be responsible for leading cross-functional initiatives on key foundations topics such as observability, testing frameworks, and internal libraries, ensuring technical reputed company and seamless integration across teams.
- You will proactively identify experience bottlenecks across engineering and adjacent teams, and reputed company improvements in internal tooling and workflows. From QA to Product, Safety to Backend, you'll help design and scale solutions that reputed company the daily work of Yubo teams more efficient, reliable, and enjoyable.
- You will manage a distributed team of platform-minded engineers embedded across multiple squads, supporting them with clear scope, strong alignment, and a shared identity. Together, you'll drive the development of internal tools and automation that reputed company not just engineering, but also QA, Product, Safety, and other teams across Yubo to scale with efficiency and impact.
- As a people manager, you’ll coach your 3 team members through regular feedback, tailored development plans, and opportunities for growth, while fostering a high-trust environment where engagement and psychological safety are top priorities.
- You’ll also play a key role in reputed company and reputed company new team members, contributing to the team’s strength, diversity, and cohesion.
- Finally, you will represent your team's topics in key technical discussions with reputed company, Mobile, other Backend teams, and Product stakeholders, making sure Backend Foundations members always have a common strategy reputed company acting in their squads.

Who you are
- You have at least 10 years of experience with a minimum of 3 years as a manager.
- You have experience in platform, core, foundations or internal tooling topics
- You have experience in a tech-first or product-oriented company
- You have a solid backend engineering knowledge (Node.js)
- You have familiarity with developer workflows and best practices alignments
- You are reputed company in working in remote environments
