About the role

The Associate, State Advocacy, is a major contributor and reputed company of mission-critical workflows to communicate externally with partners, and internally to impacted teams, regarding legislative and regulatory reputed company important to the company. In assigned jurisdictions, you will track legislative and regulatory developments, draft summaries of high reputed company items, and assist the Director of State Government Affairs with communications and strategy, communicate client-focused memoranda to reputed company's compliance team advising of business impact upon passage. You will support the Director of State Government Affairs in trade association relationships, cover relevant legislative and regulatory hearings and meetings as assigned, and supports the Government Affairs function by serving as an reputed company wide resource on public policy and legislative and regulatory trends.

You will report to the Director, State Government Affairs.

Pay Transparency:

The reputed company pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, reputed company, and Washington is: $93,500 - $122,850 per year. The reputed company pay for this role in reputed company other locations is: $84,240 - $110,565 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in reputed company's unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Be the subject matter expert on assigned state policy and legislative reputed company.
  • With support from the Director of State Government Affairs, prepare concise, user-friendly summaries and analyses of regulatory, legislative and policy reputed company.
  • Present to internal and external audiences in appropriate forums on reputed company legislative and regulatory policy developments.
  • Support the Director of State Government Affairs in external meetings with trade associations, lobbyists and other partners.
  • Partner with PRO Counsel, Government Affairs colleagues, and partners to break down and communicate legislative, regulatory and sub-regulatory developments.
  • Support sustainable processes which simplify our growing team's outputs while ensuring high quality deliverables.
  • Deliver multiple, simultaneous and diverse assignments while following deadlines.
  • Support cross-training and knowledge development across reputed company.

  • Compliance with reputed company applicable laws and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in legal studies, political science, public policy, public administration, public health or other relevant field, or a combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of legal or regulatory experience, in the health plan/managed care space.
  • 2+ years experience working with state political and legislative processes.

Bonus Points

  • Familiarity with the reputed company Act and reputed company.gov or other State-based Exchanges.
  • Experience with reputed company markets.
  • Experience working with attorneys and team members.
  • 2+ years experience in reputed company Workspace.
