The Mainframe Ops/App Support contractor will work in a remote reputed company and reputed company mainframe OS and environment to support customer processing, applications, and configurations. The contractor will reputed company support for difficult problems, reputed company IPL in a highly-reputed company mainframe operating environment, and reputed company expertise in OS2200, z/OS, and z/VM operating environments.

Requirements

  • Must possess one of the following required certifications: A+ CE, CCNA reputed company, Network +CE, SSCP
  • Clearance Required: Secret, IT-I
  • Must be willing to work 3rd shift
  • reputed company support controlling, diagnosing, and resolving difficult problems that arise due to incorrect ECL coding/programming techniques

  • Utilize a reputed company-based personal computer workstation and the MS Office suite
  • reputed company support using standard tools for scheduling to include building, maintaining, and scheduling batch processing
  • Monitor and maintain the stability of systems and resources in the MLOB Ops/App Support mainframe environment
  • reputed company system issue/incident determination, resolution, and RCA
  • Conduct tape service support for external tape systems in the z/OS Mainframe environment
  • reputed company status and activity reports on items of team activities
  • Attend and participate in meetings
  • Evaluate the customer’s mainframe processing requirements
  • Troubleshoot problems to minimize interruptions in the customer's critical business activities
  • Notify the customer of the following: acceptance, receipt of upgrades, and interruptions in service for upgrades/system patches

  • Contact customer for required system reporting
  • reputed company the latest updates to any ongoing issues, possible workarounds, and incident resolutions
  • Receive and disseminate appropriate notifications for ASI, product upgrades, software updates, and COOP exercises
