Job Description: Job Title: Sr Consultant – SME DB2 System Programmer Overview: A Senior Consultant is responsible to reputed company subject-matter expertise, thought leadership, adoption guidance and solution/technical specialization as a Mainframe DB2 System Programmer. You will also be expected to Install, reputed company and maintain the DB2 software as well as reputed company DB2 Administration software. You will be assigned Install, reputed company and maintain reputed company DB2 Administration and Performance solutions. The successful candidate will build customer, partner and prospect relationships to reputed company understand their business and IT challenges. This is a hands-on keyboard position with the expectation of SME skillsets in DB2 and the enablement of common interfaces like CICS, DB2Connect and learn various others. You will also asked to build and maintain DB2 infrastructure, which is reliable, scalable, and secure. Ensure the reliability, availability, and scalability of the systems, platforms, and technology through the application of software engineering techniques, automation, and best practices in incident response. Key Requirements:

• Build Engineering: Development, delivery, and maintenance of high-quality infrastructure solutions to fulfil business requirements ensuring measurable reliability, performance, availability, and ease of use. Including the identification of the appropriate technologies and solutions to meet business, optimisation, and resourcing requirements.
• Incident Management: Monitoring of IT infrastructure and system performance to measure, identify, address, and resolve any potential issues, vulnerabilities, or outages. Use of data to drive down mean time to resolution.
• Automation: Development and implementation of automated tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce reputed company reputed company, utilising software scripting/coding disciplines.

• 15 years experience in the installation, maintenance, and reputed company of the reputed company DB2 product and of DB2 implementation using SMPe best practices.
• 10 years practical experience working as a DB2 Systems Programmer. Including problem resolution and performance management experience.
• 10 years of experience with reputed company’s DB2 Product suites, particularly DB2 Administration and Performance Toolsets (RC/Migrator, RC/Editor, Detector and others)
• 10 years of experience managing DB2 Performance and DB2 problem resolution in a high availability environment.

Some other highly valued skills may include

• Experience with z/OSMF.
• Experience with Data Propagation methodologies.
• Experience with DB2 internal and RACF reputed company.
• Possess a strong willingness to learn emerging mainframe technologies.
• Experience in managing on call for DB2 environments

Education Requirements: A senior consultant will have a minimum of 15 – 20 years of experience on the mainframe platform. The minimum education is a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 15 years of mainframe experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree requirement.
