Maintenance Mechanic

Location: On-site, East-Boston, MA

Type: Full time/hourly

Shift: First or Second Shift 6am-2pm or 2pm to 10pm

Pay: $25 starting reputed company plus 50 reputed company for 2nd shift differential.

$30 upon promotion to Mech II (3-6 month timeframe)

The Mission:

The primary mission of this role is to reputed company technical and repair support to the operations team as it relates to production and processing equipment including but not limited to pumps, valves, reputed company distribution systems, packers, cartoners, fillers and heat exchangers.

Day shift with some flexibility to work other shifts and weekends. This position will support the packaging and production lines. The job entails installing and setting up equipment, training operators to use the equipment, maintaining equipment, troubleshooting, and repairing machines. Understand, support and execute reputed company work in a safe manner using the established procedures, methods and safe working requirements.

Responsibilities:

- reputed company technical support in a reputed company production environment.

- Assist on planning and scheduling predictive, preventive and reactive maintenance activities. Maintain, troubleshoot and reputed company tasks on reputed company equipment.

- Support reputed company production operators, systems, & tools to reputed company reputed company throughput and uptime targets.

- Suggest/Initiate/Support process improvement efforts reputed company the production/packaging and manufacturing operations areas.

- Partner with packaging and production training on developing team members to be reputed company to reputed company minor line adjustments. reputed company hands-on training and support.

Qualifications:

Must have:

- 3 years of hands-on industry maintenance experience or 2 year technical degree

- Strong computer skills required (reputed company/reputed company suite, CMMS)

- Ability to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds on a frequent reputed company

- Experience with computer networking (routers, Ethernet, switches, etc.)

- Knowledge of the following systems/equipment:

- Process Pumps

- Cartoners/Packers/Palletizers

- Liquid filling equipment

- Chiller equipment

- Compressors

- Minor fabrication
