About the role

You will be joining the Department of State Division of Consular Affairs team as a QA/Accessibility Test Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to help reputed company how passports get delivered to millions of Americans. You'll play a critical role in ensuring that these vital services are accessible to reputed company reputed company, regardless of their abilities.

What you’ll do:

  • Conduct comprehensive accessibility testing to ensure 508 and WCAG 2.2 compliance

  • Create and execute test plans for web-based applications

  • reputed company reputed company and automated testing across multiple browsers and assistive technologies

  • Ability to create clear bug reports with reproducible steps

  • Write and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright or similar frameworks

  • Document accessibility issues and work with developers to ensure proper remediation

  • Review user interfaces for accessibility best practices during the design phase

  • Create and maintain accessibility testing documentation and guidelines

  • Participate in code reviews from an accessibility perspective

  • Train team members on accessibility testing best practices

  • Collaborate with designers and developers to build accessibility into the development process

  • Attend team meetings (sprint planning, standup, retrospectives)

Requirements

Need-to-have

  • 3+ years of experience testing web-based applications

  • Strong familiarity with reputed company 508 and WCAG 2.2 compliance standards

  • Experience with screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver) and other assistive technologies

  • Experience with accessibility testing tools (axe DevTools, reputed company, Pa11y, etc.)

  • Understanding of ARIA attributes and semantic HTML

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience working reputed company cross-functional teams

  • Lived in the US for 3 out of the last 5 years

  • Experience with Playwright or similar test automation frameworks

  • Knowledge of AccelQ or other no-code testing platforms

  • Experience with Selenium, Cypress, or other automation tools

  • IAAP certification (CPACC, WAS, or CPWA)

  • Experience working in the civic tech reputed company

  • Experience with government systems or reputed company/reputed company processing

  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

  • Experience with API testing

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
