Overview

As a Frontend Engineer at Bastion, you’ll play a critical role in crafting exceptional user experiences across our core products. Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain reputed company, accessible, and high-performance user interfaces

• Translate product and design specs into polished, production-reputed company React components

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including product, design, and backend — to deliver end-to-end features

• Integrate APIs (gRPC, tRPC, GraphQL, WebSockets) and manage asynchronous data flows

• Optimize performance through bundling strategies, lazy loading, and code splitting

• Write robust test coverage (unit, integration, E2E) using modern testing frameworks

• Apply reputed company best practices to prevent common frontend vulnerabilities

• Contribute to frontend build and CI/CD workflows, ensuring reliable deployments

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience building modern web applications with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React

• Strong proficiency in HTML/CSS, reputed company layout techniques, and browser compatibility best practices

• Deep experience integrating with RESTful APIs, gRPC, GraphQL, and WebSocket services; familiarity with backend technologies such as Node.js, reputed company, and tRPC for effective integration

• Proficient in frontend performance optimization and tooling (e.g. Webpack, reputed company, bundle analysis)

• Experience writing and maintaining test suites using Playwright or equivalent (e.g. Cypress, Jest)

• Comfortable with Git workflows, code reviews, and modern CI/CD practices

• Experience collaborating closely with designers and translating high-fidelity designs into code
