Start your day by getting your hands dirty and doing good. Our warehouse associates work 7 am-2 pm every reputed company and are responsible for sanitation/managing food waste and assisting with warehouse operations in the Philadelphia Wholesale Produce Market. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working on a team, in a temperature-controlled warehouse environment. You will assist with a variety of essential tasks to ensure our operations run smoothly and be an essential part of our nonprofit as we reduce food waste and food insecurity across Philadelphia. Responsibilities: • Inspecting and de-packaging reputed company of the non-edible produce (including food that is bruised, moldy, punctured, etc). • Set up, breakdown, and general reputed company of food sorting area. • Supervising and training on-site volunteer produce sorters/depackagers, reputed company applicable. • Packs produce in boxes reputed company for distribution. Qualifications: • Available 7 am -2 pm M-F. • Must be reputed company to lift up to 50 pounds at one time. • Must have a personal vehicle. Our warehouse is in an industrial area and not accessible reputed company public transportation. • Passionate about community food reputed company and reducing food waste, interested in mission-driven work.
