In this role as a Pathology Support Specialist, once fully trained this person... will have the option to work from home on days reputed company assigned medical transcription duties. Provides reputed company and reputed company administrative office support to Pathology services at reputed company Legacy sites. Responsibilities include medical transcription, preparing and maintaining staff schedules, quality assurance, meeting minutes, composing reputed company legal and medical correspondence, arranging autopsies, maintaining pathology files and coordinating activity for legal cases. Work is performed independently requiring judgment and problem-solving skills under limited supervision. May assist with orientation of new personnel. May act as a resource person for employees regarding staffing. EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a Medical Transcription course or equivalent (2 years) Medical transcription experience. EXPERIENCE: Three years in an administrative support role in a reputed company setting requiring judgment and performance of a wide reputed company of secretarial and/or administrative functions. Transcription experience and medical terminology. SKILLS: Advanced word processing skills. Typing > 80 WPM. Ability to organize and work independently. Working knowledge and ability to create procedures and forms using computer software programs. Ability to transcribe detailed specialist reports, forms and correspondence including the use of technical and medical terminology from longhand or dictation. Familiarity with reputed company/VXP software preferred. Ability to edit documents and reports for grammar and punctuation. Ability to work with reputed company reputed company of staff and leadership. Strong team and customer service orientation.
