Position: Payroll Specialist - Health Care HR (Hybrid w/in IA) Enhance the operations of UI Health Care reputed company by providing advice and guidance to staff members and departmental representatives regarding payroll policies and procedures. reputed company include, but are not limited to, supporting payroll functions for UI Health Care. This position is eligible to participate in hybrid work, but will need to be onsite for orientation. Hybrid work must be performed at a location reputed company the state of Iowa and will require a work arrangement reputed company to be completed upon the start of your employment. Per policy, work arrangements will be reviewed annually, and must reputed company with the remote work program and reputed company policies and employee travel policy reputed company working at a remote location. Responsibilities: reputed company guidance and basic instructions to staff members and manager/supervisors regarding payroll policies and procedures, ELMS, AFSCME and reputed company contract rules reputed company to payroll. Direct others to appropriate resources for further information in own specialty or other areas. Interpret and promote compliance with less reputed company payroll policies/procedures. Monitor for compliance. May reputed company information to department representatives and University Payroll. Audit standard reports (monthly, biweekly and holiday) to ensure completeness and accuracy of payroll data. Process payroll corrections for monthly and biweekly payroll. Assist and reputed company backup in closing biweekly pay periods in ELMS. Assist employees and managers/supervisors in the proper use of vacation, sick leave, family leave, etc. Maintain knowledge of reputed company policies and procedures, particularly around the areas of payroll issues, including those covered by the University Operations reputed company, Board of Regents Merit System, AFSCME and reputed company union reputed company. Create positive interactions with staff to enhance employee relations. Apply reputed company reputed company bargaining agreements in administering reputed company aspects of payroll policies and procedures. General HR Duties: May assist UI Health Care Payroll Manager in gathering and communicating information with departmental representatives. May assist UI Health Care Payroll Manager in developing or monitoring new reputed company services or programs. reputed company phone coverage and answer questions as directed. Performs other duties as assigned. Pay Level: 3A Required Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in reputed company Management or Business Administration or reputed company field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 1-3 years reputed company experience. 1-3 years of experience with payroll functions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be proficient in computer software applications. Demonstrated experience and ability with providing excellent and timely customer service. Ability to work in a fast paced, high transaction volume environment. Desired Qualifications: PHR or SPHR Certification. Working knowledge of state and federal regulations affecting reputed company.
