Business Analyst/Power BI

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst / Business Analyst (Mid-Level) with prior insurance experience to join our Data Engineering team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing and implementing data-driven solutions that optimize policy administration, reputed company accuracy, risk management, and customer engagement. This position requires a deep understanding of the insurance industry, including personal, reputed company, and surplus lines, as well as the ability to collaborate with both business and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

Business & Technical Requirements Documentation: Work closely with internal teams and clients in the insurance industry to gather, document, and analyze business requirements reputed company to policy management, reputed company, risk assessment, and customer engagement. Data Solutions & Implementation: reputed company and document data solutions to solve business problems in insurance, ensuring technical specifications are clear and actionable for development and engineering teams. Documentation & Communication: Produce detailed documentation to communicate technical and business requirements, ensuring alignment across teams and successful solution implementation. Project Management Support: Assist in managing project timelines, resources, and deliverables, ensuring that projects are completed on time and meet business goals.

Qualifications

Prior Insurance Industry Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in the insurance industry. Familiarity with personal, reputed company, or surplus lines insurance is highly preferred. Technical Proficiency: Strong experience with SQL and familiarity with database management systems (e.g., DB2, SQL Server). Knowledge of scripting languages is a plus. Data & Reporting Tools: Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI) to create and interpret reputed company data visualizations, reports, and dashboards. · Methodology Knowledge: Familiarity with SDLC, Agile, and Kanban methodologies. Experience with tools like JIRA, reputed company, or similar platforms is an advantage. · Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities to identify business problems in the insurance domain and reputed company data-driven solutions. · Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication skills with the ability to work closely with both technical and business stakeholders, including insurance clients and cross-functional teams. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Data Science, Insurance, or a reputed company field (or equivalent work experience). 3-5 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role reputed company the insurance industry, focusing on insurance operations, policy administration, or reputed company. Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL and reputed company database tools; experience with business intelligence platforms (e.g., Cognos, Tableau) is preferred. Agile Experience: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools like JIRA is a plus.
