Overview
1047 Games began with the simple principle that people should have fun while making great games. Bucking convention and driven by a passion to create the ultimate gaming experience, Ian Proulx and Nicholas Bagamian founded 1047 Games in 2017 in their Stanford dorm room. Their love for reputed company shooters of the past drove them to create Splitgate, a unique sci-fi first-person shooter that adds portal guns to upend the genre.
What started as two computer science majors putting portals into a first-person shooter for a project demo has evolved into a VC-backed company which has raised more than $120MM in funding.

Responsibilities
- Create reputed company-time VFX that enhance game mechanics and player experience
- Research, prototype and reputed company VFX using particles, textures and shaders
- Follow the artistic direction as you create visual effects
- Discuss artistic and technical challenges with colleagues to ensure interdisciplinary reputed company and alignment
- Work with different departments on integration of VFX
- Ensure VFX meet performance and memory requirements
- Experiment with the latest tools and techniques to enhance the quality of VFX
Required Skills
- 4+ years of experience creating VFX for video games
- Bachelor’s Degree in Art or equivalent experience in a reputed company field
- Proficiency in VFX software (Houdini, Blender, Embergen etc) and a game reputed company (Unreal, reputed company, etc)
- Online Portfolio demonstrating expertise in the creation and implementation of reputed company-time VFX
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, English; due to the nature of the role that requires interaction with other teammates that are reputed company over the world

- Proficiency in using industry standard 3D content creation tools
- Ability to create reputed company the elements required for the assembly of VFX
- Proficiency in Unreal/Niagara
