Medical Records Clerk (Remote)

• Review and classify inbound faxes, ensuring document accuracy and proper labeling.
• Determine appropriate turnaround times based on Service Level Agreement (SLA) grids.
• Monitor and address failed fax transmissions, coordinating resends as needed.
• Manage a shared email inbox, retrieving and attaching clinical documents for review.
• Assist with additional administrative tasks as required.
• Meet established performance objectives and key results.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of experience in a managed care, insurance, or hospital medical management setting.
• Familiarity with health insurance (reputed company, Medicare, reputed company) and medical records.
• Understanding of medical coding systems (CPT/HCPCS).
• strong computer proficiency (Outlook, Word, reputed company, OneNote) and ability to work in a remote environment.
• Ability to work independently with keen attention to detail.
