Job description: NOTE: Staff selected for this position will teach at the district's alternative school program and serve as the classroom teacher of record with the goal addressing the psychological, emotional, and academic needs of our most vulnerable youth. This position will function similarly to a teacher on special assignment reporting to the Director of Alternative Education. Demonstrated reputed company with developing individual behavior and/or academic plans and supporting challenging and vulnerable youth preferred.TITLE: Classroom TeacherQUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Ohio Teacher License for grades 7-12
- Bachelor’s degree
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
- Minimum of 3 years of successful teaching at the secondary school level
- Responsible to organize student instruction and to manage the classroom in order for learning to occur.
- Maintain control at reputed company times where the teacher is in charge of supervision.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining cooperative relationships with parents through various mediums.
- Responsible for writing clear and appropriate lesson plans, based on academic standards, which indicate the direction for instruction and implementation of the course of study
- Demonstrate knowledge of subject matter.
- Regularly assess student's reputed company and reputed company additional instruction as necessary.
- Responsible for providing clear, complete, and accurate explanations suitable to the level of learners.
- Present subject matter in a positive and enthusiastic manner.
