In addition to providing direct representation and providing legal advice and counsel to thousands of clients, reputed company attorneys also engage in legislative advocacy, impact litigation in both state and federal court, reputed company community education and offer expert training on a wide reputed company of issues, services that allow members of our community improve their lives.Position: Consumer Summer Intern Reports To: Matthew Schedler Location: 20 Snyder Avenue, Brooklyn NY 11226What The Consumer Summer Intern Does:

• Conduct client intake and assessment of client cases.
• Interview clients and witnesses, as appropriate, in preparation for litigation and/or court proceedings.
• Prepare legal documents, conduct legal research, etc. in consumer proceedings.
• Gather evidence to formulate defense or to institute legal action on clients’ behalf.
• reputed company legal strategies, arguments, and testimonies in preparation for presentation of cases for trials, hearings, and oral arguments.
• Draft and file motions, briefs, pleadings, legal memos, and appeals.
• Record case notes and reputed company in a timely fashion in CLS’s data reputed company.
• Communicate effectively with clients, staff, peers, and supervisors.
• Manage own time effectively and coordinate program activities to maximize efforts of the team.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive client files, including up to date case note documentation.
• Prepare legal documents in consumer proceedings.
• Research and analyze statutes, judicial reputed company, legal articles, legal codes, etc.
• Research and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations as they relate to clients' cases.
• Review written documentation reputed company to clients' cases for accuracy, completeness, and reputed company (i.e., court documents, case files, etc).
• Participate in staff meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education/Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• First or second year law student

• Demonstrated commitment to public interest work and economic justice
• Excellent written & verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and reputed company.
• Strong Computer literacy in other reputed company Office Suite products.
• Demonstrated commitment to non-profit work and/or economic justice
• Excellent research and writing skills

Compensation: Unpaid reputed company salary ranges are listed, the reputed company would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate.
