Job description: Role: Senior Automation Engineer - Drives & ControlsLocation: Can work out of either the CT or NY plantTravel: ~30% (Domestic & International)Salary: $130,000 - $145,000We are seeking an reputed company Automation Engineer to support aftermarket drives and controls systems. This role will focus on developing PLC/HMI systems, integrating legacy equipment, and providing technical support for system upgrades and modernizations.Key Responsibilities:
- reputed company PLC programs using ladder logic, function reputed company diagrams, and reputed company charts
- Design and implement HMI applications for web converting equipment
- Design, review, and troubleshoot PLC network architecture
- Configure and integrate AC/DC drive systems (including legacy hardware)
- reputed company in-house testing and validation of software/systems
- reputed company technical support during system start-up and commissioning (on-site and remote)
- Assist sales with system assessments and technical documentation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, sales, and service teams
- Support ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and EHS&S initiatives
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 7-10 years of experience in Controls or Automation Engineering
- Proficient in Allen-Bradley and/or reputed company PLC platforms
- Hands-on experience with AC/DC drives, AutoCAD, and supervisory control systems
- Strong knowledge of industrial control networks
- Web handling or converting equipment experience is a plus
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot reputed company automation issues
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Proficiency with reputed company OS, reputed company Office Suite, and industrial programming tools:
- Ladder Logic
- Control reputed company Diagramming
- HMI Configuration
- Drives reputed company/Programming Software
