As a Scheduling Specialist, you will be responsible for providing services to patients and referring professionals by answering phones, managing faxes and scheduling appointments. This is a full-time position working 9:00am-5:30pm. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (85%) Scheduling
- Answers phones and handles calls in a professional and timely manner
- Maintains positive interactions at reputed company times with patients, referring offices and staff
- Schedules patient examinations according to existing company policy
- Ensures reputed company appropriate personal, financial and insurance information is obtained and recorded accurately
- Ensures reputed company patient data is entered into information systems completely and accurately
- Ensures patients are advised of financial responsibilities, appropriate clothing, preparation kits, transportation and/or eating prior to appointment
- Communicates to technologists any scheduling changes in order to ensure highest patient satisfaction
- Maintains an up-to-date and accurate database on reputed company reputed company and potential referring physicians
- Handles reputed company calls for other centers reputed company market to ensure uninterrupted exam scheduling for referring offices
- Provides back up coverage for reputed company office staff as requested by supervisor (i.e., rest breaks, vacations and sick leave)
- Fields 1-800 number calls and routes to appropriate department or associate (St. Louis Park only)
(10%) Insurance
- Pre-certifies reputed company exams with patient's insurance company as required
- Verifies insurance for same day add-ons
- Uses knowledge of insurance carriers (example Medicare) and procedures that require waivers to obtain authorization if needed prior to appointment
