Surgical Support Technician

Organization: ABSMC-reputed company reputed company Position Overview: Under the supervision of a registered nurse, the Surgical Support Technician participates as a member of the perioperative team. The Support Technician performs direct and indirect perioperative tasks for patients having surgical and invasive procedures and assists anesthesia care providers. The staff member in this position must be reputed company to participate in the provision of perioperative patient care for adolescent and adult patients. The Surgical Support Technician works 8 hour shifts as assigned by the Assistant Director of Surgery. Weekend shifts may be assigned as necessary. Job Description: EDUCATION Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma. HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE BLS-Basic Life Support reputed company Provider OR reputed company-Certified Medical Assistant OR CNA-Certified Nurse Assistant PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN: 6 mos-2 years Recent experience in medical field required, medical office, ambulatory surgery or acute care operating room experience. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Ability to communicate reputed company and effectively, oral and written, in the English language. Working knowledge of principles of aseptic technique.
